True Courage in a Secular Culture

Sexuality in our culture calls for Christian courage in a way we overlook

I just wrote and published an article that caused me a lot of anxiety. And if you know me, you can guess why. I hate conflict and controversy, and yet the Lord seems to be calling me more and more into public theology. God has a history of calling his children into waters that scare them. I’m doing my best to trust and walk in faith.

This week, I wrote about true Christian courage in the context of sexual identity politics. What I’m calling for is, I hope, patently biblical and peace-making: understanding, sympathy, and love. The pattern we follow in our world, of course, is the pattern of Christ, who spoke the truth in love, but also with humility.
